Lilongwe Asian Business Community once again came to the rescue of some Malawians.After the president of Malawi,His Excellency Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera gave a directive of compulsory mask wear up by everyone at every public place.

Labc’s team of volunteers led by Mr Yusuf Abubakar donated 1,000 face masks at the main market at Malangalanga road in Lilongwe. On behalf of the vendors;Mr Ali received the items.

“This donation is timely and considerate,it will go a long way as you know this market is among the most patronized markets in Lilongwe.And, is very important to follow all recommendations and regulations of curbing the spread of Covid-19, for our own safer and also for our customers,we have wash basins at both entries and we encourage one another to participate actively in social distance.” Mr Ali said.

Labc is among the few community groups that have taken a keen interest to fight against Covid-19 before and after the first positive case was registered in Malawi.

Labc has spent more than K400 Million in donations,medical equipments distribution and other public awareness initiatives to different public and private institutions in the fight against the virus that causes Corona.
