I proudly say that Atupele is a critical thinker and lawyer for that matter. He critically weighed the options of joining either MCP or DPP camps after meeting the two fierce rivals and for sure looks like he is on the verge of spinning the right way.

Algorithmically, the MCP UDF partnership is an inverse correlation. It failed in 2009 and can’t work now. The Eastern region and MCP are two opposite angles that cannot be aligned even up to infinity.

However, the social media negative reaction from the opposition about the possible DPP UDF relationship is blown out of proportion and full of jealousy. It’s a fact that MCP has been waiting for this opportunity to hook Atupele and UDF with an intent of neutralising DPP’s machinery in the eastern, and thence sending clear signals to all Kwacha bases across Malawi that the road to Kamuzu Palace is just a minute away.

This should sink into MCP’s minds that dethroning APM and DPP, isn’t a simple task as they think. DPP has well trained personnel and big heads when it comes to ballot issues. Their silence after 3rd February wasn’t acceptance of defeat. One notable quote says “The depth of your preparation in private determines the height of success in public. We are yet to get more strong surprises from the DPP think tank.

The emerging DPP UDF marriage will bring a sigh of relief to all DPP supporters after all odds turned against them and will now begin to see that chances of retaining power are within their borders.

Psychologically, the alliance will incite voters from the East and South to come in strong force and defend their throne. Who knows that even those UDF supporters who aligned themselves to UTM will think otherwise and join this great movement. That’s the moment that the word UDF is DEAD will be proven otherwise.

I am expecting UTM and Aford to join this grand alliance and send a strong message to MCP that the road to Kamuzu Palace isn’t as simple as a Mcdonald ‘s drive through as you always think.
