TEENAGE PREGNANCY RAMPANT IN BANGWE

Our reporter has uncovered saddening occurrences at Chikunda,wisiki side in bahasi,Bangwe.

Whereby young girls as young as 13 to 14 years are walking around heavily pregnant(Mimba zotopa).

Women in the area are complaining and appealing to all civil society organizations that fights for the rights of girl child and Ministry of Gender,Disability,Children and social welfare to move swiftly and rescue their daughters,before the whole area is filled with young mothers.

As we write,our reporter physically calculated 8 young girls who are heavily pregnant.

It is a disheartening situation.

Elder men are on rampage to entice them with money and other things,it is difficult for the young girls to decline the offers due to poverty.

Most of them are no longer going to school,as some are due or still nursing their babies.

This is sad,truly it is.
