Minister of Agriculture,Irrigation and and Water Development,Hon Kondwani Nankhumwa opened his chest and used a presidential function in Chikwawa to advise those who have been talking ill of him and others behind their backs.

“There is an election ahead of us, let’s triumph together and if it may happen that we fail to attain victory(God forbid),we shall be defeated together. You and me shall go back home and embark on pigeon peas farming,” Nankhumwa said
He also complained that some party officials have already counted him out to the point of conniving to dethrone him off his position as vice president of the party for the south and leader of government in parliament.
He ended by asking all party sympathizers and officials to desist from being busybodies rather to work and day night to promote and support the party to maintain it’s winning streak and also to wholeheartedly welcome their newly formed alliance with United Democratic Front.
Our reporter spoke to a senior party official who chose to speak on anonymity and he narrated, “There are on-growing tensions and mistrusts in the ruling party,as others are feeling more confident and optimistic that only them have the capacity to help the party to win the upcoming fresh elections,in view of this,they’re trying their level best to run campaign of calumny against all who are close to the president,with an intent to eliminate all loyal and able leaders who have stood thick and thin with the party since 2014,it’s good that Minister Nankhumwa was brave enough to bring up this issue-it is so demoralizing”
