MZUZU CITY IN BAD STATE AS DUTY BEARERS SEEM TO BE INCOMPETENT

It never pours but rains in Mzuzu City. Our cities in Malawi are being swallowed, taken over and ravaged by wastes. Mzuzu however, is getting worse.

Duty bearers seems to be sleeping on the job. These heaps of wastes have been lying there for many months now. No one cares even the vendors do not seem to care yet they ply business as usual close by with little concern and regard.

While this is a serious worry as it may promote waterborne diseases, cholera outbreaks.

No one seem to be available to assess and monitor the situation to contain the mess as MP, Councilor and the City Council officials are MISSING IN ACTION(MIA).

Recently, angry and concerned community members burned down Msiro waste dump site at a newly constructed place due to disagreements that arose between the City Council and community which has been outstanding without resolve for years now.

The closure of Msiro at Dundudzu has even exacerbated the already yawning city.
