“MUTHARIKA BROKE OUR AGREEMENT” CHIKOMENI SAID

In a dramatic twist of events, one of the partners to the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) candidate in the annulled presidential election, Ras Chikomeni Chirwa has come out in the open and distanced himself from the recently announced electoral alliance;Mutharika has formed with the United Democratic Front (UDF) president, Atupele Muluzi.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Wednesday Ras Chikomeni said, the relationship he had with Mutharika came to an end after the announcement of Mutharika’s cabinet soon after the May 2019 elections.

The Rastar is accusing Mutharika of bleaching the verbal agreement he made with him which among others was to consider him for at least a ministerial post considering that he sacrificed his presidential bid.

“Am not part of the alliance Mutharika and Muluzi have announced earlier this week, my relationship with the president ended soon after he announced his cabinet, he failed to fulfill the promise.We made a verbal agreement from which I was expecting to be considered at least a ministerial post, but unfortunately we did not put that in writing so he easily broke the promise”, Chikomeni said.

Meanwhile, Chikomeni is fully prepared to revive his presidential bid which he said is focusing on peace building, women and youth empowerment.

“I am back to serve the nation from destruction,as you can see Jah (God) is not happy with the leadership which is failing to unify his children, hence his messenger coming in to unite them with the message of peace and love from the Imperial his Majesty, Emperor Heillassie Lassie himself,” Chikomeni emphasized.

Earlier in the week the running mate to the UDF president in the nullified presidential election, Frank Tumpale Mwenifumbo also distanced himself from the DPP/UDF alliance saying his people do not support it.
