MORE THAN THREE TONNES OF MARIJUANA IMPOUNDED AND BURNT

Nkhotakota Police yesterday(25/02/20) destroyed Indian hemp worth over 3 tonnes which had accumulated in their stores.

The hemp was confiscated from various places beginning from June 2019 to December 2019.

As the government of Malawi is yet to officially approve the commercialization of medical hemp.

The country has been engrossed in serious issues of drug and substance abuse.

These are some of the efforts by the Police service of Malawi to curb the culture of illegal trading of banned substances.
