MCHINJI WOMAN NABBED FOR HAVING SEX WITH A CHILD

Police in Mchinji are keeping in custody a 20-year-old woman, Catherine Lusitiko, for infedility having slept with a 13-year-old boy (name withheld)

On February 18, 2020, the accused person had found some boys listening to some music at a certain trading centre at Kalakungwa village in the area of Traditional Authority Simphasi in the district.

She then dragged one boy to a nearby bathroom where she ordered him to undress and have sexual intercourse.

The suspect had ordered the victim not to reveal to anyone threatening him of unspecified action.

It is reported that the woman had taken advantage of her husbands absence who had gone to attend a funeral.

The other day, mother to the victim had discovered that the boy had difficulties in walking, a development that prompted her to find out.

The boy then spilled the beans to his mother saying the suspect had forced him to have carnal knowledge with him.

The victim was then sent to Kamwendo police unit before being referred to Mchinji District Hospital where after diagnosis, he was found with sexually transmitted infection.

During interrogation, the suspect had admitted that she had had sexual intercourse with the teenager but said it was out of influence of Satan.

Lusitiko hails from Kumkundu village in the area of traditional authority Zulu in the district.

She will appear before court soon to answer a charge of having sexual intercourse with a child.
