2nd April 2020:

The president of Malawi,His Excellency Prof Arthur Peter Mutharika announced the first 3 Coronavirus cases.

A family residing at Area 9 in Lilongwe. A woman along with her child:both of them are Malawians of Indian origin plus her house-helper an indigenous.

When the news broke out some alleged gullible and not well informed people went to town peddling lies that in Limbe violence has broke up against local Asian business community due to the Covid19 case.

This Publication did an intensive investigation and came to find out,it was nothing but false alarm aimed at inciting hatred and resentment towards the Asian Community.

My fellow Malawians the virus sees no color, age, gender, tribe or party affiliations.

It is killing all type of people.

My fellow Malawians.

Our brothers and sisters of Indian origins have been part of the fight against Covid19 and they are working day and night for our plight and survival.

This is the time for all of us to come together:collectively with our different set of skills and capabilities we will prevail, survive and surmount this challenge.

Malawi is stronger at its weakest point and we the people in Malawi:We are peaceful and loving.

It’s not a time to blame anyone or point fingers.

Let’s play to stay safe and beat the hell out of this virus.

We are one:a big people of the greatest nation of Malawi.

God bless Malawi.
