Malawi has 16 positive cases of Covid-19 and 2 deaths.
Malawi is expected to go on nationwide lockdown on 18th April 2020.
Labc has once again come to the assistance of critical public institutions apart from health and law enforcement agencies,the grouping has gone further by empowering the Malawi Defence Force(MDF).
Mr Manzoor Bheda;the community chairman led the team of volunteers who donated various items at Malawi Army Hospital at Kamuzu Barracks in Lilongwe.
Total value of items given is K3,000,000.
Such items were;
-Protective Gear and materials.
-Buckets with water dispenser taps.
-English and Chichewa Leaflets of public awareness on the appropriate precautions and measures to follow in the combat against Covid-19.
On behalf of MDF,Dr Chitsa Banda gladly received the items;he was lost of words to express the overwhelming and timely importance of these items at the institution.
The organization has promised to continue empowering and equipping all public institutions as long as they’re in a capacity to do so.
“This is a national disaster and all capable Citizens must be brother’s keeper.” Bheda said.
