Parliament is proposing an investigation into allegations that the government favours Motor Engil Company in awarding of road contracts.
Most of the major government projects are done by Motor Engil, a development that creates speculation of corrupt practices.
The public has been using social media platforms to express their discontent over the matter.
It is believed that some contractors are out of business following failure to secure government contracts.
In an interview with the media, Robert Mwina who is Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Transport stresses on the need to conduct investigations on the matter to see if at all contracts are being awarded dubiously.
There was no immediate comment from Motor Engil officials on the issues raised.
