The match is scheduled to be held on 7th October, 2020. The friendly match has been organized in preparation for the 2 legged matches against Burkina Faso in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier to be played in November, 2020.
Reports indicate that the Flames have called their professional players namely Gabadinho Mhango, Gerald Phiri Jr, Charles Petrol, Richard Mbulu, Chawanangwa Kaonga, Yamikani Chester, Christopher John Banda, Schumaker Kuwali, Dennis Chembezi who play for different professional clubs in the World.
FAM had no choice but to charter a plane so that the friendly match would not fail to take place. The decision was made due to the problem of lack of commercial planes due to the flight restrictions caused by Covid 19 Pandemic.
The Head of Delegation for the trip is Mr Muhammad Selemani who is the Executive Committee Member for the Footaball Association of Malawi.
We will bring more updates on the developments in Zambia.
