Malawi had 5 cases of Coronavirus infections as of late Monday. Two in Blantyre and Three in Lilongwe.

Strangely all these cases are being quarantined at their homes respectively.

The Malawi government is yet to establish quarantine centres in all regions:where such cases will be housed and be given appropriate medical care. And, the medical industry;that comprises of doctors, nurses, matrons and other, is yet to be fully briefed and trained on how to handle this new and deadly health challenge in our midst:it is further revealed that the medical personnel are yet to get protective gear and as well increasement of risk Allowance.

A letter from Medical Doctors Union to the Chairman of Covid19 Cabinet Committee dated 6th April 2020

On 6th April 2020.

Around 23:16,i was reliably informed that;one case in Blantyre is critically ill and is battling for life at her home.

As communicated on my Facebook page

After i posted the sad news:I received a message from the woman’s relation that;

Her relation informed me through a WhatsApp chat.

It is sad that the woman has been forsaken by the medical personnel and no nurse is willing to come at her home to treat her in fear of being infected with the virus as they have no protective gear and also no risk Allowance.

A WhatsApp message from the relation and how he felt after seeing her relative breathing her last breath

The Doctor in charge failed to transport her to ICU due to the fact:the hospital which is Q.E.C.H has no capacity to handle the case citing the fact there is no reserved place to accommodate such cases with contagious disease plus there are no functional oxygen ventilators/concentrators.

The woman passed on in the early hours of this Morning.

Innalillahi wa ina illahi raajiun,

May Allah grant her Janatul Firdous and Magfiraa
Aameen Thumma Aameen

She will be laid to rest in Blantyre(place hidden for privacy purposes).

Why the government until now is not ready? After all they received all the necessary medical equipments and essentials from Alibaba foundation a month ago:is it just incompetency or putting unqualified people to handle this health disaster ignorantly?

Demands from Medical Doctors to Government: which they have not yet honored them

My connection in the high place who spoke on anonymity said,“Unfortunately MOH/DHO are not yet ready with an ICU type isolation facility which they are working on and this needs to be expedited as this patient needed this intervention. Though protective gear was made available family weren’t even able to get a nurse who was willing to assist with this patient last night.

DHO had given a go ahead to try with the private hospitals to see if they could take her into an ICU facility but unfortunately they weren’t able to accommodate either.”

This is nothing but the truth:this is how doomed we are as a nation, our leaders are failing to manage the situation demands and are ignorantly ignoring facts which are clearly visible that they need more manpower, insights from others regardless the fact they are not affiliated to the ruling party.

More demands from Medical doctors to government.

As it stands:we will not be wrong to say this DEATH could have been avoided and a life saved:if and A BIG IF our government was well prepared to handle such cases.

This Death is on the head of Ministry of health.

They have failed this family and Malawians.

We just have to pray for the remaining patients who are also battling for their lives in their respective homes.

Malawi is a BIG JOKE and i hope it is just a BAD DREAM:PLEASE SOMEONE WAKE ME UP!

Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is important and all. But imagine if you added some
great images or videos to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content
is excellent but with pics and clips, this website could definitely be one
of the best in its niche. Excellent blog! adreamoftrains
