Chiefs in Mchinji North East Constituency have assured Member of Parliament for the area Hon Esther Majaza that they will urge their subjects to continue giving support to DPP government and vote for professor Arthur Peter Mutharika during presidential fresh elections.
The chiefs said this during interaction meetings which Majaza had in different communities.
Majaza who is also Deputy Minister of Irrigation and Water Development met with over one hundred chiefs in four centres of Sub Traditional Authority Kambuwe, Senior Group Village Headmen Khwere, Tsekwe and Chilowa.
Speaking during one of the meetings,Sub- Traditional Authority Kambuwe said he and his subjects want the DPP government to continue rulling this country saying they see it as the only party with the ability to continue developing their respective areas and Malawi at large.
He said DPP has brought a number of good developments in their area through their MP Majaza within a short period of time.
He cited his elevation and the construction of new markets and bus depot at Kapiri which was recently launched and the yet to be launched Kapiri, Mkanda road project among others.
S-TA Kambuwe added that as chiefs they are proud to have Majaza as their MP and they are ready to defend Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika through the ballot come fresh elections.
In her statement Majaza told the chiefs to encourage their subjects to vote for Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika saying the president loves them hence giving them development projects they never witnessed before.
