Citizen For Transformation Movement, CFT with aim of cushioning the impact of Covid 19 on community members of Mkanda in Mchinji district, CFT with support from AIM foundation donated assorted items to Muslim women.

Speaking on Saturday’s afternoon, after donating bags of maize flour and face masks, National publicity secretary of CFT Chimwemwe Maunde said, as CFT Movement with the leadership of CIC Hon Tomothy Mtambo, are aware of the many difficult times people are facing due to the effects of Covid 19.

” When AIM Foundations came in with this support , we did not hesitate to visit our sisters in Mkanda to alleviate the vulnerability that has come forward because of the pandemic ”

Maunde added that CFT reminded people the importance of following prevantive measures like putting on the face mask’s, regularly washing of hands and observing social distance as well as encouraged them to keep their kids at home.

One of the beneficiary Mrs Hawa Salasati, said the donation will help her and her family to fight against Covid 19 , Salasati shed tears in disbelief.

The Board Chair for AIM Foundations, Mr Tonny Karim promised the partnership will continue inorder for CFT Movement should reach out to all districts in Malawi.

” This is just a pilot phase, we ought to partner with CFT so that they reach almost a very district, it will not j end here ” Said Karim.

The Covid 19 has effected almost all aspects of life , rural areas being most hit due to financial constraints .
