BANGWE POLICE RECOVERS THREE MOTORCYCLES WORTH K2.7 MILLION

Police in Bangwe, Blantyre, have recovered three motorcycles which were stolen in recent robbery attacks in the township.

The motorcycles are valued at K2. 7 million.

The recoveries follow the arrests of three suspects on Monday, March 2 2020.

The three have been identified as Charles Julius, 20, from Kaunda village in Traditional Authority ( T/A) Kachindamoto in Dedza, Edward Peter, 24, from Wisiki village in T/A Machinjiri in Blantyre and Ishmael John, 37, from Kwanjana village in T/A Chimaliro Thyolo.

Police detectives are still on the ground to make more arrests and are appealing to members of the community to tip them off about any suspected criminals in their localities.

The three suspects will appear in court upon completion of paperwork to answer charges of robbery and theft of motorcycles.
