The aftermath of the concourt case has left many fearing for their jobs. Some have decried loss of business, some have decried an unstable environment to operate their day to day activities. This is so as the neverending tirade of events keep occuring.
The jubilations that followed the winning side, Malawians amasse, has given rise to another assembly of HRDC and it’s ardent followers. This has not ended there, after disruption of operations at MEC offices, where in other cases office compound was successfully locked, a lawsuit with equal demands of resignation of Dr Jane Ansa and her commissioners has been served.
Messers George Ngwenyama Ngwira and Aaron Kayira through their lawyers Jivadon and Company have filed a suit against MEC for for immediate vacation from their offices. Having little confidence in the removal process, which involve PAC of parliament recommending to the President who has sole discretionary powers to appoint or dismiss the commissioners and the MEC chair, they resorted to the matters in their own hands _inter alia_.
A legal action has been threatened if the MEC Commissioners do not vacate the offices and cease to be office bearers by 18th of February 2020.
Confidence has been lost.
