A MOTOR VEHICLE KILLS A 13 YEAR GIRL IN RUMPHI
Tafazo Mhango, a 13 year old girl died after been hit by a Toyota Sienta saloon registration number KA9551 when it was in a reverse motion.
The driver parked the vehicle near a certain shop at chirambo trading centre and whilst reversing the said vehicle, he hit down to death Tafazo who was standing at the said shop, the vehicle stopped after it hit the shop.
Tafazo Died on the spot due to head injuries, the driver was not injured but was severely beaten by the angry villagers, he was taken to Rumphi district Hospital for medical treatment.
The motor vehicle had it’s rear part depressed and rear glass broken while the shop’s front wall collapsed, the police is appealing to community members to avoid taking the law in their hands or beating up drivers when accidents like these happens, police also advises all road users to follow road safety rules at all times.
